What we do

Editing. A read of the full text for grammar, sentence structure, clarity, paragraph flow and consistency. We correct how an idea is expressed. We do not change what you claim. How editing is priced and how long it takes explain the terms before you ask for a quote.

What we do not do

We do not write your chapters, invent citations, change your findings or alter participant quotations. We do not promise a grade, an accepted paper or a pass at your defense, because those decisions belong to your committee and to journal editors. If your draft needs content that is missing from it, we tell you what is missing and you write it.

The writing problems we see in doctoral drafts

Many doctoral drafts, in any language background, share the same weak points. A long sentence carries three ideas and loses the reader. A paragraph opens with background and never reaches its claim. Articles and prepositions drift. Tenses shift between the literature review and the findings. Citations follow two styles at once. A chapter repeats what the previous chapter already established.

Editing for these problems takes a careful reader and a clear standard, and it works better when the author remains involved. We query unclear passages instead of guessing what you meant, and you approve the change.
