This policy explains what information The Two Dissertation Moms collects through thetwodissertationmoms.com and through our email and client work, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to visitors, people who request a quote, and clients.
Who we are
The Two Dissertation Moms is a thesis and dissertation editing and academic support service operated by Christelle Wessels and Helen Brownes. You can reach us at support@thetwodissertationmoms.com.
What we collect
Information you send us. When you request a quote, we receive your name, email address, the service you selected, the word count or page count you enter, your deadline, and any message you write. The price shown on the quote form is an estimate and is saved with your request.
Free resources. When you download the submission checklist, the self-diagnostic or another free resource, we receive the email address you enter.
Your documents. Clients send us thesis, dissertation, chapter and manuscript files. We open them only to do the agreed work.
Payments. Payments are made through PayPal. We receive confirmation of the payment and the payer details PayPal shares with us. We never see or store your card number.
Technical information. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes visitor IP addresses and request data to deliver and secure the site. Your browser may store small files, such as a remembered form choice, on your own device.
How we use it
We use your details to reply to your request, prepare your quote, carry out and deliver the work, take payment, and send the free resource you asked for. If you joined our list through a free resource, we may email you about our services and new guides. Every such email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also write to us at any time and ask to be removed.
We do not sell your information. We do not use your documents for marketing, training or any purpose other than your engagement.
Confidentiality of your work
Client documents are confidential. We do not share, publish or reuse them without your written permission. Files are kept only as long as the engagement and a reasonable period afterward for revisions and follow-up questions, and we delete them on request once the engagement is settled and the balance is paid. Our Terms of Service set out the same commitment.
Who else handles your information
We use a small number of providers to run the service: Formspree processes the quote and checklist forms, PayPal processes payments, Cloudflare hosts the website, and our email provider carries our correspondence. Each handles your information only to provide its own service. We disclose information to anyone else only when the law requires it.
Where information is processed
We work from Kenya, and many of our clients are in the United States and other countries. Our providers may process data in other countries, so your information may be stored outside the country where you live.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to support@thetwodissertationmoms.com from the address you used with us. We reply within a reasonable time and will tell you if we cannot delete something because the law requires us to keep it, such as a payment record.
Children
Our services are for doctoral and postgraduate students. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Links to other sites
Our articles link to university, government and scholarship websites. We do not control those sites and their privacy practices are their own.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
